Violência doméstica contra a criança e o adolescente: na concepção do Serviço Social

Abstract

Intrafamilial violence against children and adolescents is a serious and recurring social phenomenon, manifesting in physical, psychological, sexual forms, and neglect, which profoundly impact the development of the victims and challenge comprehensive protection. Given the urgency of the issue, catalyzed by personal and professional experiences observed during supervised Social Work internship in the municipality of Miracema do Tocantins, the present work aims to analyze the role of the social worker in addressing domestic violence against children and adolescents assisted by the local Specialized Social Assistance Reference Center (CREAS). The main objective is to understand the possibilities for professional intervention, the role of the protection network, and the strategies for reception and prevention, with a focus on qualified listening and interinstitutional coordination. The adopted methodology is qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive, based on a bibliographic review and pespect. The research uses the theoretical-critical framework of Social Work and analyzes crucial legislation, such as the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA) and the 1988 Federal Constitution, with the aim of supporting the discussion on rights violations and the shared responsibility of the State and society. The study has academic, social, and ethical relevance, seeking to contribute to the implementation of protective public policies in the region and to the recognition of children and adolescents as full rights holders.
