O Enade no curso de licenciatura em Pedagogia: desafios e perspectivas

Abstract

This research, systematized in a dissertation, is included in the Research Line of the Strictu Sensu Postgraduate Program of the Master's Degree in Education of the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT/TO), entitled "Enade in the Pedagogy Degree Course: Challenges and Perspectives" in order to contribute to future actions for public and private HEIs regarding effectiveness and efficiency in the advancement of Higher Education assessment. Assessment is a daily activity in which the person reflects on their actions and begins to learn and absorb information and can be conducted through some mechanisms that seek to maintain control and organization in various aspects of work, from the classroom or in educational institutions. Considering this and the broader context in which this theme is inserted, the study raised the following question: “What are the possibilities for improving educational planning based on the results obtained by students in the Pedagogy course at a private HEI, in the Specific Component questions of the ENADE exams?” The research had as its general objective to analyze the results obtained in the Pedagogy course at a private institution, in the Specific Component questions of the ENADE exams taken by students. The theoretical framework was fundamental to contextualize the higher education assessment policy of this study, in which studies were sought from the following authors: Barreyro and Rothen, (2008); Hoffmann (2003); Luckesi (2011); Spada, Gonçalves and Passos (2015); Dias Sobrinho (2005); among others. As a methodological procedure, the research work sought a qualitative and quantitative approach for the interpretation and analysis of information related to various situations related to the research object, based on the bibliographic survey through a survey of works, periodicals, aiming to recognize the main approaches and propositions and documentary using sources such as: the official documents of INEP/MEC. This work is based on the results of the ENADE assessments applied in the years 2017 and 2022 to the Pedagogy Course of a private college, in the city of Luis Eduardo Magalhães (BA), in which it intended to analyze and reflect on how these results will contribute to the quality of the course. It was found with the research that ENADE should be considered a relevant tool to promote institutional development, as well as to provide a good academic/professional training for students, as it serves to assess how the educational path of students is in the context of the HEI.
