Determinação de local estratégico para implantação de uma Unidade de Pronto Atendimento (UPA) em Paraíso do Tocantins

Abstract

The strategic location of health facilities is of paramount importance for serving society, especially in emergency situations where time is crucial to saving a life. The objective of this research was to determine the best location for the implementation of an Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in the city of Paraíso do Tocantins - TO. From the bibliographic analysis and information provided through interviews with public managers and workers in the area, it is possible to establish criteria to achieve the objective. The adequate results that the best alternatives are available in the southern collection of the city, more specifically in the Pouso Alegre sector. The method proved to be significant in obtaining alternatives to the problem raised, without there being partiality, taking into account only rational information and scientific method.
