Estudantes fora dos seus territórios: desafios, enfrentamentos e possibilidades

Abstract

This social and qualitative research is the result of questions from the researcher, who also faced challenges in the academic space due to being outside her home territory. The question-problem is: what challenges do students who come from other territories face when entering the university space? And as a general objective, to analyze the challenges faced by students from other territories when entering UFT, Arraias Campus. The specific objectives are: to learn about the researcher's trajectory and her challenges; to investigate the perceptions of students from other territories about the academic experience at UFT, Arraias campus; and to analyze the data and content with the perspective of bringing to light the reality of students outside their territories. This work is justified by the curiosity and concern to understand and investigate the experiences of students from other territories, bringing to light elements for reflection on issues related to the processes of adaptation of students outside their territories. The main focus is to learn about the experiences they had during their period of adaptation to academic and personal life.
