| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar os como os meios de comunicação particularmente, o jornal Gazeta do Cerrado, do Estado do Tocantins- analisa os casos de violência contra a mulher e o crime de feminicídio nesse Estado. Para tal, coletamos as matérias que notificavam violências contras as mulheres, nos anos de 2018, 2019, 2020 e 2021. Nossa abordagem se dá pelo crivo da teoria das relações de gêneros, a qual possibilita a compreensão histórico-social das desigualdades entre homens e mulheres e na intersecção com raça\ etnia e classe. Concluímos que as reportagens criminais, não sendo tratada a especificidades desse tipo de violência e suas causas. |
| Abstract: | This research aimed to analyze how the media particularly, the newspaper Gazeto do Cerrado, from the state of Tocantins - analyzes cases of violence against women and the crime of femicide in that state. To this end, we collected the articles that reported violence against women, in the years 2018 to 2021. Our approach is based on the theory of gender relations, which enables the historical-social understanding of inequalities between men and women and at the intersection with race/ethnicity and class. We conclude that the reports are brief, often sensationalist and share with criminal reports, not addressing the specificity of this type of violence and its causes. |
