metadata.dc.description.resumo:	O presente trabalho teve por objetivo realizar um estudo de caso das atividades feitas pela em- presa na implantação de povoamentos de Mogno Africano na região norte do estado do Goiás. Uma análise sobre o processo de produção de Khaya Senegalensis, deste a Implantação Flo- restal no campo até as práticas silviculturais que são necessárias para a manutenção e desen- volvimento da Floresta. Esta pesquisa foi realizada na região norte do Estado de Goiás. Durante a observação que fora feita percebeu-se que há uma predominância desta espécie na Selva Flo- restal, que é uma empresa que realiza implantação de espécies florestais e fica localizado no Porangatu – GO, isto se deu a vários fatores, um deles foi a capacidade de adaptação desta planta ao clima e a região. A Selva Florestal é uma empresa de reflorestamento de Mogno Africano, onde seu ramo de atividade é produção de mudas, investimento florestal em plantios na própria área, e consultoria em Mogno Africano. Produzindo suas próprias mudas que são destinadas para o plantio na empresa, ou vendida para o mercado florestal. Para a realização desta pesquisa utilizou-se de textos acadêmicos e informações fornecidas pela própria empresa.
Abstract:	The present work aimed to carry out a case study of the activities carried out by the company in the implantation of African Mahogany stands in the northern region of the state of Goiás. An analysis of the production process of Khaya Senegalensis, from the Forestry Implantation in the field to the silvicultural practices that are necessary for the maintenance and development of the Forest. This research was carried out in the northern region of the State of Goiás. During the observation that was made, it was noticed that there is a predominance of this species in the Forestry Forest, which is a company that implements forest species and is located in Porangatu - GO, this was due to several factors, one of them was the adaptability of this plant to the climate and region. Selva Florestal is an African Mahogany reforestation company, where its field of activity is seedling production, forestry investment in plantations in its own area, and African Mahogany consulting. Producing their own seedlings that are destined for planting in the company, or sold to the forestry market. To carry out this research, we used academic texts and information provided by the company itself.
