| metadata.dc.description.resumo: | O Cerrado brasileiro é um dos cinco grandes biomas do Brasil e a segunda maior formação vegetal do país. Cobre cerca de 25% do território nacional, sendo considerado uma das regiões de maior biodiversidade e endemismo do mundo. Estima-se que o Cerrado possui mais de 6 mil espécies de árvores e um dos PFNM (Produtos Florestais Não Madeireiros) mais importantes do Cerrado: o pequi (Caryocar sp.) da família cariocarácea, é considerado de elevado valor na culinária e auxilia na geração de renda de muitas famílias. (OLIVEIRA & DUARTE, 2004). Embora tenha elevado valor econômico, ambiental e social, ainda existe demanda por mais conhecimento e consequente valorização desse fruto por parte da população brasileira, principalmente pelos vastos benefícios para a saúde e pela necessidade de conscientização para preservação. Este estudo teve como objetivo geral discorrer e realizar uma análise bibliográfica sobre o pequi (Caryocar sp.) um produto florestal não madeireiro nativo do Cerrado brasileiro. A metodologia utilizada para a construção do trabalho foi uma pesquisa bibliográfica narrativa, com informações coletadas a partir de um levantamento de literatura, de 39 documentos/publicações como referência. Destarte, o pequi é um fruto de extrema importância para a população, economia local e meio ambiente. |
| Abstract: | The Brazilian Cerrado is one of the five great biomes in Brazil and the second largest plant formation in the country. It covers about 25% of the national territory, being considered one of the regions with the greatest biodiversity and endemism in the world. It is estimated that the Cerrado has more than 6 thousand species of trees and one of the most important NTFPs (Non-Timber Forest Products) in the Cerrado: the pequi (Caryocar sp.) of the Cariocarácea family, is considered of high culinary value and helps in cooking income generation for many families. (OLIVEIRA & DUARTE, 2004). Although it has a high economic, environmental and social value, there is still a demand for more knowledge and consequent appreciation of this fruit by the Brazilian population, mainly due to the vast benefits for health and the need to raise awareness for preservation. This study aimed to discuss and perform a bibliographical analysis on pequi (Caryocar sp.) a non-timber forest product native to the Brazilian Cerrado. The methodology used for the construction of the work was a narrative bibliographic research, with information collected from a literature survey of 39 documents/publications as reference.
