A importância da utilização de metodologias diferenciadas para o ensino de química na Educação de Jovens e Adultos.

Abstract

The Youth and Adult's Education (EJA) it’s a modality that offers to adults and young people, who couldn’t finish their studies properly at the most suitable age, the opportunity attend to elementary and high school. In general, the EJA student carries a range of prior knowledge that must be recognized by the teacher at the process of teaching and learning. Two pedagogical activities related to previous classes were performed with the students of the 1st and the 3rd high school grades of a public school in the city of Araguaína-TO. It was applied a questionnaire-based research to define the EJA students’ profile, their hardship with the Chemistry teaching and to evaluate the results of the two previously applied pedagogical activities. Perform experimental classes are of a fundamental importance for the student's meaningful learning because it's efficient way of presenting the subject in a reality closer to that of the student. Contextualizing the subjects helps the student to learn how to apply in his daily life the knowledge acquired in class. During the research we found out that most of the students had to leave school due to the need of working. Among the women the most quoted cause was the pregnancy and the need of taking care of the family. This results show the efficiency and importance of the intervention activities in the process of the EJA student's learning and teaching.
