Literatura como um meio de resistência às representações tradicionais da mulher.

Abstract

This final paper has the objective to verify how the woman is showed in the book of poems "A womb is the size of a fist", by Angélica Freitas (2012). For this reason, is necessary to understand the historical facts based to gender relations, because it is a fundamental way to comprehension the varied representations of women in Freitas' poetry. Thus, was made a bibliographical review metodologically. Was choosen to theoretically based our study in the following authors: Rago (2014), Perrot (1988) and Gancho (1989). In this way, from our critical readings, the Brazilian poet Angélica Freitas helped us to construct a new form to think the woman, exalted through the poetic discourse, as a form of resistance to the traditional representations of women, understanding the woman is a construction.
