metadata.dc.description.resumo: Este artigo aborda a vida de dona Romana Pereira da Silva e tem como objetivo geral descrever o lugar sagrado da Casa de Romana no território sagrado do sítio Jacuba, no município de Natividade, estado do Tocantins a partir de uma revisão bibliográfica geral sobre o tema em meio virtual e impresso e, a partir das visitas ao campo na disciplina de geografia cultural em novembro de 2017 ao sítio Jacuba, se deu a opção pelo tema e a observação direta do espaço, além dos registros fotográficos e das conversas com Romana. O sítio Jacuba comporta 30 casas de familiares e compõe-se da casa denominada Centro Bom Jesus de Nazaré, da área externa, onde estão as esculturas e o galpão de armazenamento de plantas, água, roupas, calçados e etc. Podemos concluir que o território do sítio Jacuba, repassado de significados, símbolos e imagens, constitui-se numa fração do espaço delimitado, resultado da apropriação e controle dos seus ocupantes e apresenta claras dimensões culturais, étnicas e religiosas, constituindo-se, pelas práticas e devoções que ali ocorrem num território sagrado.
Abstract: This article addresses the life of Ms. Romana Pereira da Silva and has as general objective to describe the sacred place of Romana's House in the sacred territory of the Jacuba site, in the county of Natividade, state of Tocantins, from a general bibliographical review on the theme in virtual and printed media and, from the field visits in the cultural geography discipline in November 2017 to the Jacuba site, has given the option for the theme and direct observation of the space, in addition to photographic records and conversations with Romana. The Jacuba site has 30 family homes and is made up of the house named Centro Bom Jesus de Nazaré, from the external area, where are located the sculptures and the storage shed for plants, water, clothes, shoes, etc. We can conclude that the territory of the Jacuba site, pervaded with meanings, symbols and images, constitutes a fraction of the delimited space, outcome of the appropriation and control of its occupants and presents clear cultural, ethnic and religious dimensions, constituting itself, by the practices and devotions that take place there in this sacred territory.
