Abstract: The origin of the Military Police in Brazil is linked to the colonial period. Already the Military Police of Tocantins was created on January 1, 1989, with the Board of Health and Social Promotion as the body responsible for all situations relating to health and social promotion of their military police. The police activity is a job category in which the trader runs great risk of life, has an overload at work and still wear with the Judiciary. Such situations can cause psychosocial risks, which are closely linked to physical, psychological and social harm. In this context, this study aimed to map the psychosocial risks in the work of the military police of the 6th Military Police Battalion - BPM unit that established in March 14, 2003 and responsible for public security in the southern region of Palmas-TO and other five neighboring towns. Through the Psychosocial Risk Assessment Protocol Work of Facas (2013), it was possible to achieve the specific objectives, which are related to work organization, management style, the risks of pathogenic suffering and physical damage psychological and social. The research was based within a both quantitative and qualitative approach and used descriptive statistics and content analysis according to the methodological model of Bardin (2011). Given the difficulties of access to the target audience and also the refusal of many, it was not possible to reach a representative sample of 6º BPM, with the possible participation of 127 officers of 254. Most military police respondents of the 6th Battalion: the ) are male (88.9%); b) have through high school (38.1%); c) are married or living in a stable union (72.9%); d) have more than 20 years of service in the institution (27.6%) and less than 5 years in current position (80%); e) they are squares belonging to the frame (89%); f) operating play function (68.1%); g) are loaded in the 1st Operating Company (35.7%); and h) in the last year had 1 or 2 health problems related to work (56.6%). Regarding the problem of psychosocial risks arising from the employee-organization relationship at work between the participants, it was found that the Tasks Division proved to be prone to greater psychosocial risks in the Social Work Division, there is a slight prevalence of NPM Style in relation to the Group, the Mental Exhaustion appeared most alarming about the suffering and physical damage Pathogenic prevailed over other damage. Thus, it is suggested forwarding this mapping not only the organization studied, but also to the Board of Health and Social Promotion of Military Police of Tocantins.
